Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
Jiu Jitsu promotes the concept that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend against a bigger, stronger assailant using leverage and proper technique. BJJ emphasizes the ground fight by applying joint-locks and chokeholds to defeat the opponent. BJJ training can be used for sport grappling tournaments (gi and no-gi), mixed martial arts (MMA) competition and for self-defense. Not only will you evolve as a Jiu Jitsu practitioner but you will also get in great shape while improving flexibility and building confidence inside and outside the gym.
Kids & Teens Class
Jiu Jitsu is a fun way for kids to improve flexibility, build confidence, get in shape, and develop discipline. The class is filled with techniques such as takedowns, ground control, escapes, submissions, and self defense. Our Anti-Bully program teaches the kids and teens awareness and how to overcome a bigger and stronger opponent by using leverage and momentum. We split the classes into 2 groups for kids of the age 4 - 8 and teens from 9 - 14 years old.
BHJJC private lessons are custom made for our students' desires whether they want to improve on Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, no gi grappling, exercing and/or self defense. All classes are one hour long with step by step instructions of techniques and drills along with sparring time where we can help answer questions and cover any difficulties.
